The photo was inspired by the legend of the Black Queen after whom the mentioned well (or spring) got its name.
In Croatia there are many legends of the Black Queen. In reality the legends were inspired by Barbara of Cilli (1392 - 1451). Who she was you can see at:

Legends say that she liked to dress in black and that she was a practitioner of alchemy and black magic. Some legends describe her as a vampire. No need to say that the legends describe her as an evil character.
According to the legend the Black Queen lived during one part of her life in castle Medvedgrad on Medvednica mountain. Once upon a time there was great drought and all the wells in area have dried up, except for the well in Medvedgrad castle. The thirsty people have begged the queen who lived in Medvedgrad to give them water, but she has refused to do so. Therefore the thirsty people put the curse upon the queen and started to walk through the surrounding forest. They found an unknown well (spring) and they drank water form it. As they drank water from the well, the well in Medvedgrad dried up.
Another legend say that the Black Queen always went herself to that well to take water because she was afraid that someone would poison her if she would send someone else to bring her the water.
